Analysis Of Q
This contents page has a 'blocky' layout which means that it is partly pictures and text which are separated by coloured lines and even dotted lines to distinguish the pictures from the stories. This type of contents page is easy to navigate and is quick and simple it doesn't bore you at all either. This contents also follows the classic colour scheme that Q follows with the red text to separate the headlines from the stories and the bold colour blocks for headings. Likewise thsi contents page follows the classic conventions as it has mini snippets of stories then pictures of action next to them to attract people to read on. I would like my contents page to be blocky as I think it looks clearer and it is easy for my reader to navigate. Similarly I think it looks more professional than an image based contents page as it actually looks like a contents page. Where as some image based contents pages look too much like front covers to me and I don't want my magazine to be confusing and to look samey all the way through I would like some diversity. Finally I think its better to have more than one picture because it gives more of an insight to what is going to be inside.
