NME Magazine Number 5

This NME magazine follows the typical codes and codes and conventions of most music magazines. Just like the other NME magazine this follows a colour scheme which in this case is black red and white which matches the photo well because the photo is black and white based. Both Q and NME use these colour schemes throughout their magazines because it makes them look professional. However this magazine uses two people on the front cover which goes against the classic codes and conventions of magazine front covers. This is because most magazine front covers just have one person featuring on the front, this is even more apparent with Q magazines as they commonly feature one person and its either a close up or a medium close up. Whereas NME vary it up and even feature two people and even bands on the front. For my magazine I want one model on the front cover, this is because I think you can add more detail to images that are more close up. Likewise I am going to have detailed makeup on my model and I am going to match the makeup with the magazines colour scheme. I think this will look more professional than having more than one person on the front.
